We’ve featured the Newcastle psych duo Warm Digits a couple of times before now, with their wildly different tracks ‘End Times’ and ‘The View From Nowhere’. The third release to appear on TMR once again puts on new spin on their punching-up synth rock thanks to a striking vocal performance from The Lovely Eggs. Suitably titled ‘Feel The Panic’, there’s a certain anxiety-inducing clutteredness to the fizzing production, grunge guitars, kraut-rock synth keys and relentless drums. Neither can you escape the ferocity of The Lovely Eggs’ shouty words, which come right up into your face, not allowing you to look away for a second as Holly Ross commands you to “feel the panic!”. As ever, the energy that Warm Digits deliver in ‘Feel The Panic’ is unparalleled. - Hannah Thacker
